Can’t Help Ourselves is a photographic exploration of the conceptual end
of the world as it relates to our current treatment of animals, land, and natural resources. Modern-day technology has detached us so far from the reality attached to our consumer decisions. Environmentalist and animal-rights issues are consistently transformed into jokes by popular media, and many people remain complacent with unsustainable actions because of how easy it is. The main goal of this work was to begin a shift towards a less human-centered worldview and more thoughtful decisions in regard to nature and each other.
